Ann Hill helped reopen Bruce Beach to the public, spearheaded the Pensacola Paddle Trail, and led Pensacola's designation as a Blueway Community because she believes more people should be connected to the water.
Pelican Watch is a proposed waterfront safety initiative by Ann Hill that would install emergency response stations at key locations throughout Pensacola's waterfront. Each station would be equipped with life rings, flotation devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and emergency location markers to help first responders quickly identify the exact location of an emergency.
These stations would provide immediate lifesaving equipment for bystanders, while helping first responders quickly locate emergencies when every second counts.
Because you never realize you need a lifeline until seconds matter.
Estimated Cost:
Each "Pelican Watch" station would provide immediate lifesaving assistance and help first responders locate emergencies faster.
✔ Life Ring & Flotation Device — $500
✔ Emergency Rescue Ladder — $1,000
✔ Public AED Station — $3,000
✔ Emergency Location Marker — $100
