Why am I running for Mayor?

To Serve the Community: Pensacola is a very unique, diverse and historic city etched on three sides by water. By focusing on our beauty, our culture, our neighborhoods and our history, we can enhance the quality of life for all Pensacolians.

Since the 1990s, I have served on many local boards, most recently as the President of City Council. With your support, I am ready to initiate The Ann Plan on day one as your next Mayor. DONATE

I Love The Ann Plan, but how are you gonna do all that?

Can we really have FREE PARKING DOWNTOWN?

Absolutely! The city's parking program is a series of contracts which can be cancelled. Considering only approximately 15% of the revenue from parking comes from Locals, it does not take a rocket scientist to realize that thousands of Pensacolians do not shop or dine downtown anymore due to parking confusion and expensive tickets. Let's bring Pensacolians back to these small businesses and stop making them shoulder the revenue loss due to our broken parking system.

Just look to our neighbors in Fairhope and Fort Walton Beach for shining examples of free parking downtown and bustling businesses.

How can you pay for that?

It's time we utilize the budget for the people, For more than 20 years, we have been told that in order to raise the money to get what we need, like sidewalks and clean waterways, we must focus on paying to incentivize major developments in the city. Residents and local businesses have been patiently waiting their turn.

Let's cancel MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR BOONDOGGLES like these and use the funds for US!

Will your "Pensacolians First" approach stagnate growth?

No, quite the opposite. Improving infrastructure, enhancing our city parks, offering city-managed youth recreation / tutor programs, restoring the health of our bays and bayous, supporting our fishing and boating industry, and fighting for locals to have lower taxes will result in a THRIVING local economy. You've paid your dues in taxes, isn't it time we get what WE WANT??

We are a gorgeous maritime city along the Gulf Coast of Florida. Why in the world are we subsidizing our waterfront for developers? It's time we have a Mayor like me, Ann Hill, who is not bound to repay campaign favors to the developers. I will give the power back to you, the residents to decide how to spend over $250 Million EACH YEAR after we pay for City Staff, Police and Fire Department employees.
